About the Senior Center

The Schroon Lake Senior Center is an important asset of our community. It is the home to the Schroon Lake Senior Citizen’s Club, that owns and maintains the building through memberships in the club, support from the Town of Schroon through donations, and various fund-raising activities the club sponsors throughout the year. The Senior Center also houses our area’s Nutrition Center Lunch Program and Meals-on-Wheels.

The Senior Club is guided by the Board of Directors which consists of 5 officers, 5 directors, and the past president, who meet once a month to manage club business. The general membership meets once a month to keep current with club’s activities and to voice ideas and concerns. The Senior Club holds a number of activities nearly every day of the week, and organizes a number of trips each month, with handicap accessible transportation on the Senior Bus. Daily activities and club happenings, trips and special events are announced in a monthly newsletter, as is the Nutrition Program Monthly Menu.
