In May 2018 demolition and rebuilding of the town ice rink began.  The old rink was demolished and site work began in preparation for our new facility.

The Town of Schroon Skating Rink has undergone a total renovation and rebuild. In May 2018
the old rink was demolished and site work began in preparation for our new facility. 
The skating rink is open during the winter months 24/7, weather permitting.  The rink is free and
open to the general public.  Night skating is also available. Contact town hall to find out how to turn on the outdoor lighting.  
Ice conditions at the town rink are monitored frequently and maintained with the use of our newly
purchased, Bambini ice resurfacing machine.
Need Ice Skates?
The town has a large selection of skates you can borrow. Call (518) 532-7737 for
further information. The town is always looking for ice skate donations. You can drop them off at the
town hall or the library
