Special Town Board Meeting held May 1, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. in the Town Hall in

Schroon Lake N.Y.

Present:

Town Supervisor:                 Catherine Moses

Councilpersons:                   Roger Friedman, Michael Marnell, Clara Phibbs and Mark Whitney

Highway Superintendent:  Dana Shaughnessy

 Town Clerk:                       Patricia Savarie

       Ray Thatcher from Essex County Emergency Services conducted an Emergency Response Class and commended everyone for coming to the meeting stating it was the best turn out he had ever had.  Ray stated that Essex County was working on a new radio system and that the Board of Supervisors had formed a Radio Sub Committee.  The county wide radio system would be done through microwave connectivity.  The site system would start in Lewis on Wells Hill and  do a complete ring around Essex County back to Moriah.  Ray then updated his New York State Hazard Analysis Program and Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.  Councilman Marnell made a motion to adjourn at 8:58 P.M., seconded by Councilman Whitney; carried.
