Special Town Board Meeting held Jan. 31, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Town Hall, Schroon Lake N.Y.
Present:
Town Supervisor: Catherine Moses
Councilpersons: Roger Friedman, Michael Marnell, Clara Phibbs, Mark Whitney
Town Clerk: Patricia Savarie
Also Present: Jim Roblee and Albert May
The meeting was called to order at 1:35 p.m. by Supervisor Moses.
Jim Roblee the Towns Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, was present and had received
quotes from three companies for a 100 KW portable generator for the sub-station at Tamarac.
The present generator is 35 years old and runs on leaded gasoline and needs repairs. Jim
suggested to go with a diesel run generator which would be more cost efficient. There was much
discussion over the quotes.
Councilman Marnell moved a resolution to have the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator get
the lowest quotes which meets all specs and a warranty and authorize him to purchase a 100 kw
Portable Generator for the sub station located at Tamarac, seconded by Councilman Friedman,
carried.
Councilman Marnell moved to adjourn at 2:59 p.m. seconded by Councilman Phibbs; carried.
